Owner and C.E.O.
Family Health Care is owned by Michael H. Link, MD., Dr. Link has been a full time practicing physician and partner for Family Health Care since 1984, and became the sole owner in 2007.
Angelo J. Canales, CPA
C.O.O. / C.F.O.
Family Health Care is administrated under the leadership of Angelo J.
Canales, CPA. Mr. Canales has served as the Chief Operating Officer and Chief Financial Officer for the practice since 1985.

Bobbie Vickers
Director Accounts & Contracts
Bobbie Vickers, Director Accounts & Contracts, has served in the Family Health Care administration and finance department since 1988. In addition to coordinating the daily financial needs of the corporation, Bobbie currently manages all contracts for Family Health Care.
David Chimento
Director Human Resources & Marketing
David Chimento, Director Human Resources & Marketing, is the newest member to the leadership team. He joined us September of 2011. As the director of Human Resources and Marketing, David provides support to over 75 team members. He also coordinates marketing events, print material, and internal communications for Family Health Care.

Rose Quintana
Director of Operations
Rose Quintana, Director of Operations, has served with Dr. Link and his medical staff of board certified health care providers on the Family Health Care team, since 1986, most of the existence of this practice which was founded in 1982. Under the direction of Dr. Link and Mr. Canales, Rose and the leadership team oversee the daily patient care practices at all of our office locations
Amanda Waskelis
Director of Support Services
Amanda Waskelis, Director of Support Services, brought her medical operations, technological experience, and leadership skills to Family Health Care in 2003. Amanda personally oversees the scheduling and insurance claims departments, and closely works in managing the overall daily operations of patient care, as well as staff supervision at all of our office locations.
Mike Kovacs
Medical Information Technology Manager
Mike Kovacs, Medical Information Technology Manager, joined the Family Health Care management team in 2008. Mike brings exceptional organizational skills, and applies them to daily operations, continually developing and expanding our EMR (Electronic Medical Records) capabilities. Mike’s leadership and daily efforts in this area serve to continually improve Family Health Care’s efficiency in documenting our valued patients’ health care records, and communicating their health updates with specialists as needed.

Elizabeth Viteri, RN, BSN
Director Case Management
Elizabeth Viteri, RN, BSN joined Family Health Care in 2008, as our Director of the Department of Case Management. She personally oversees and coordinates the care for hundreds of patients, providing personalized care to those on a Medicare Advantage plan (please see “links” to FHC’s Medicare Advantage insurance partners) patients who partner with Family Health Care in managing their health issues.
Marilyn Daugherty, RN
Manager Clinic Operations
Marilyn Daugherty, RN, came on board August of 2011. She brings a wealth of clinical knowledge and expertise to the clinic team. Providing one-on-one personalized care is what she has worked to maintain and develop with our clinical team.

Kelly Canales
Director Clinical Studies
Kelly Canales, Director Clinical Studies, joined our leadership team in 2009, as the Director of the Family Health Care Clinical Studies department. Each year, at no cost to them, many Family Health Care patients qualify for and participate in a clinical study, under the close supervision of a Family Health Care doctor, which offers medication and personalized care for their health condition.

we love kids
Thousands of Osceola County’s students and youngsters visit their primary care provider at Family Health Care. Both the Kissimmee and St. Cloud office have several parent-approved/kid friendly doctors, nurse practitioners and physician assistants who look forward to visits each day from Osceola County’s youngest citizens.
A friendly lobby attendant who greets patients at each office is happy to direct parents and kids to our entertaining Kids Korner, where kids stay busy enjoying cartoons, reading kid-friendly books and magazines and completing coloring pages with a complimentary for-keeps box of brand new crayons!
In addition to partnering with and contributing to such organizations as The Osceola Council on Aging, The March of Dimes, and Give Kids the World (to name just a few; please see “links” to these websites), Family Health Care has served as team physicians for several local high schools, both public and private, over the past two decades.
Most recently, FHC and it’s Clinical Studies department launched an annual summer campaign to offer affordable E.K.G.s to student athletes and their coaches, in an effort to prevent injuries or fatalities from unknown heart ailments while training in the extreme summer heat. This program also serves as a fundraiser for these athletic programs.
Dr. Link also serves as the official spring training health care provider to the Houston Astros and the Atlanta Braves professional baseball organizations. He was honored at Minute Maid Stadium in Houston, Texas in front of a home game crowd for providing care during spring training to the Houston Astros organization for over 25 years.
